On any given day, you might find me hunting airplane contrails high above a clear Idaho sky. Since Boise’s airport sees mostly narrow body aircraft, I search high above for the more interesting wide body aircraft spotting.

On this particular blue sky day, I spotted a Condor Airlines Airbus A330 at 35K feet on its way from San Fransisco to Frankfurt Germany (info from Flightradar 24).

I was not familiar with Condor Airlines so I did a bit of research. Condor was founded in 1956 in Germany. According to it’s website, it’s Germany’s “most popular leisure airline”. The unique strips livery was introduced in 2022 to “Introduce a new brand identity: Inspired by parasols, bath towels and beach chairs, Condor now wears stripes in five colors. This illustrates the development from a leisure airline to a unique and unmistakable vacation brand.” The green and white livery in the photo I captured is their Island color theme.

You can download aircraft photos from their website at www.Condor.com

Let me know if you have flown with Condor below in the comments.
