Nikon Increases Price of their NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6 - 6.3 VR Lens

Nikon Z6II, NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Lens at 510mm, ISO 2800, f/6.3, 1/800 sec.

Nikon increased the price of one of their popular lenses, the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6 - 6.3 VR Lens.

The mystery is why did they increase the price by $200? Sure enough, I looked at what I paid for the lens and it was $1,699 and now it’s $1,899. Was it because the lens is very popular and a way to get a higher unit price due to simply demand? Was it a source pricing issue, where one of the components that’s used to create the lens increased?
